Boost profitability accross your network

QuoteManager

In the complex and dynamic aviation arena of today, it’s vital for an airline to quote quickly and accurately for any sub charter activity, ensuring competitiveness and maximising profitability.

QuoteManager provides you with a powerful financial modelling tool, capable of calculating flight profitability by simulating revenue and costs. The system maintains a financial database of direct operating costs including handling, engineering, parking, fuel, passenger taxes, over-flight, catering, crew, cargo, distribution and overheads. By maintaining your supplier rates within the module, the system can calculate all the expected charges on any given schedule. Each cost is maintained in a ‘cost set’, and these can be copied and adjusted enabling evaluation of costs based on future inflation or expected supplier increases.

The product includes a currency database so that all costs may be transferred from the suppliers’ currency to that of your airline’s accounting currency.

The system will calculate the seat rate revenue required to earn your preferred level of margin, based on your anticipated seat load factors. As the system generates expected revenues and costs for the flight, it will identify profitability; users have the option to adjust revenue margin as so desired. Once the financial implications of a flight are calculated, a full quotation may be produced, stored and sent to your distributor. Every quote is recorded so that you can refer back to any of your previous quotations. Once a quote is accepted it can be marked accordingly and the flight added to the live schedule.

QuoteManager offers:

  • Graphical and text display of schedules
  • Full supplier ‘cost sets’ for accurate simulation
  • A revenue margin adjustment wizard
  • Multiple currency sets for financial transparency throughout the simulation
  • Cost and currency set adjustment wizards
  • Tax code dictionary
  • A supplier database
  • An airport database
  • A distributor database
  • A quotation list
  • A cost adjustment audit log

QuoteManager simplifies the process of submitting accurate and profitable flight quotations.

ProfitMaster

Fleet Schedule Profitability Analysis

In the complex and dynamic environment that is today’s aviation market, an airline must constantly review its current and future schedules to ensure it is competitive and maximising its profitability. ProfitMaster is a powerful financial modelling tool that can calculate the profitability of your airline by simulating the revenue and costs generated by your schedule. The module maintains various ‘schedule sets’ so that your commercial department can amend schedules and then evaluate their profitability, thereby selecting the schedule with the maximum possible financial yield. These scheduling scenarios are displayed in both a graphical and a text-based format.

The system crosschecks every solution with a database of direct operating costs, including handling, engineering, parking, fuel, passenger taxes, over-flight, catering, crew, distribution and overhead costs. Once you have entered your supplier rates within the module, the system will calculate all the expected charges on any given schedule. Each cost is maintained in a ‘cost set’, and these can be copied and adjusted, thereby enabling the user to evaluate the impact of any future inflation or expected supplier increases on costs.

The product includes a currency database that converts the costs in your supplier’s currency to your own accounting currency. In addition, there is a ‘revenue by destination’ database enabling the system to calculate the projected revenue of a flight with any anticipated seat load factors. As the system generates expected revenues and costs for each flight, it can also identify profitability, even for the entire flight programme. Of equal importance, it will identify loss-making or marginally profitable flights so that appropriate decisions can be made prior to flight sale and operation. ProfitMaster ’s results can be reviewed by network, by schedule, by fleet, by route, by flight type and by destination, helping to identify key performance indicators in your schedule.

A number of reports are also available from the system identifying costs, revenue, profitability and the contrast between actual and forecasted performance.

ProfitMaster can import the planned live schedule from APM’s SchedulePlanner, and can also export schedules to SchedulePlanner without the need for any intermediary.

ProfitMaster offers:

FinanceWhiz

In the complex and dynamic environment that is today’s worldwide aviation market, an airline must keep control over its supplier invoicing to ensure it pays for what it has used at the contracted rates.

APM’s FinanceWhiz provides you with a powerful financial modelling tool to calculate the direct operating costs of your flights. These can include: aircraft handling, landing, engineering, insurance, parking, over-flight, in-flight and fuel, passenger taxes, destination and distribution costs for sectors flown. Once the costs have been calculated, supplier invoices can be matched to contractors and the account records reconciled.

The system maintains a financial database of direct operating costs including handling, engineering, parking, fuel, passenger taxes, over-flight, catering, crew, distribution and overhead costs, so you can lodge your supplier rates within the module. The system can then calculate all the expected charges on any flight. Within the software there is a currency database, so all costs are exchanged from the suppliers currency over to the accounting currency of your airline.

As each flight is operated, an accruals report can be generated so that expected costs can be shown using the actual flight time. Supplier invoices can then be matched, and any discrepancy with the expected contracted rates can be investigated with the supplier, ensuring your airline only pays for what is contracted.

With most airlines operating in various parts of the world, and therefore dealing with many suppliers, our software provides a mechanism with which to control these complex arrangements and assist you in only paying for what your airline has used. FinanceWhiz will allow you to generate performance reports including - but not limited to - flight performance, passenger details and fuel burn details, and includes an add-on option for data extract capabilities to interface with a user's data warehouse and financial ledger (subject to specification and fee-based development).

In addition, FinanceWhiz can import the operated live schedule from APM’s SmartOps without the need for any intermediary software.

FinanceWhiz offers:

  • Supplier ‘cost set’ for accruals calculations
  • A supplier accounts record check function
  • Supplier invoice processing wizard
  • Currency set accruals calculations
  • Tax code dictionary
  • A supplier database
  • An airport database
  • Fleet database
  • The ability to extract reports into Excel
  • Accruals report
  • General ledger code dictionary
  • Audit log of cost amendments
  • Integration options to your general ledger

Take control of your invoicing with APM’s financial modelling tools.

InFlightServices

In the current, highly competitive aviation market, providing the right in-flight services can be a key differentiator for your airline.

APM’s InFlightServices software provides you with a powerful and easy to use tool to allocate meals, beverages and other in-flight items by flight, all within your flight programme.

Within the module you can state the types of items you wish to provide on board - meals, papers, pillows, drinks etc - and each of these items can be linked to a supplier and tagged with a cost. From this database, the user can define the services to be provided by flight departure time and duration. These can then be automatically allocated to the flight schedule for your expected passengers, provided by APM’s SchedulePlanner. Amendments to the flight schedule are easily identified and the service allocation updated accordingly. The end result is a comprehensive report generated for your catering suppliers, detailing what should be served on each flight, and from which airport the catering should be loaded. The total cost of catering is then calculated.

InFlightServices imports the planned live schedule from APM’s SchedulePlanner without the need for any intermediary software.

InFlightServices offers:

  • A text display of the live schedule
  • Expected passenger display and passenger number import options
  • Multiple supplier in-flight service ‘cost sets’
  • Specifically defined catering message ingest
