SmartOps Situational Display

APM are pleased to announce an add-on function to SmartOps - the SmartOps Situational Display. This feature displays aircraft positions on a map relative to their estimated and actual times. Aircraft and flight sectors are superimposed on a globe to identify to the SmartOps user where aircraft are actually located. The product is fully integrated with the APM product suite. TecPlanner Update

TecPlanner is now available for sale and distribution. The product has a range of functionality to assist an airline in effectively planning its Maintenance downtime for aircraft regarding Recurrent, Reactive, ADSB and MEL Maintenance. The TecPlanner system permits the user to insert maintenance checks and maintenance information specific to the airlines fleet and update the maintenance planning status accordingly. The system warns the user if an aircraft has been scheduled for a flight sector but the allocated maintenance task has not been updated in the system. TecPlanner is fully integrated with all other APM applications and additionally the system includes a full audit trail of updates and amendments.

Further customer options will be added to the TecPlanner product including maintenance management relative to aircraft configuration, hangar allocation and technical briefing information. The next version of the software will be available in September 2006.

APM Technologies SA and EPFL will collaborate in the development of optimization software

APM Technologies SA and the operations research group ROSO of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) have signed a collaboration agreement to develop new optimization algorithms to be applied in the airline industry. The project, sponsored by the Innovation Promotion Agency (KTI/CTI) of the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology, will be directed at EPFL by Prof. Michel Bierlaire. The mathematical algorithms will be dedicated to the solution of particularly complex scheduling and logistic problems related to the management of an airline’s fleet and will be implemented in APM products. EPFL is a center of excellence among European universities and is particularly recognized for its competence in operations research applications. According to Prof. Alberto De Min, Director at APM, the signing of this agreement “represents a major event in APM history, as it will allow our company to fully compete at the global level in the airlines optimization software industry”.

TecPlanner system

APM announces the release of its TecPlanner system for aircraft maintenance planning. This system will be commercially available in June 2006. As with all APM modules the system will be fully integrated with all other APM Modules.

Jade Cargo selects APM Modules

Jade Cargo have selected APM Software for the operation of their fleet, crew and maintenance planning , slot management, flight watch and financial modelling functions at their Headquarters in Shenzhen. Michael O'Sullivan, Corporate Director of APM said. 'This is an exciting new customer for APM as it will be the first deployment of our software into China and we are developing new functionality into our modules to cater for Jade Cargo's maintenance requirements. We are looking forward to providing Jade with a first class service in this expanding market place'.

Jade Cargo will commence operations from Shenzhen - Baoan International Airport mid 2006 with a fleet of up to 6 new 747-400ERF-Freighter and will offer cargo services to Europe, United States and within Asia.
